straight up one of the coolest games ever
this is namco's fucked up fever dream take on half life. play as amnesiac superhuman tom cruise who guns down soldiers and beats the shit out of aliens. i'm not spoiling anything else - let's just say it's a trip
gunplay's nice and weighty, but the real star here is the melee combat, which utilizes the triggers to control the two sides of your body rather than just being based on light and heavy attacks. it encourages experimentation and for you to figure out different combos and attack methods yourself - the options of which only expand more and more as the game goes
also it's fucking HARD. if you don't understand the mechanics even basic enemies will crush you, but that
just makes it all the more satisfying when you finally
do get through a part that's been beating your ass
if you've got an xbox of any sort, then you've no excuse - play this fucking game
