"but what the fuck is vandread?" i hear you thinking. oh, wouldn't you like to know? actually, you probably wouldn't. it's just a mediocre anime i watched when i was 13. still, it introduced me to this group - so that's pretty cool!
silc stands out to me in the seas of y2k-era jpop because they boast a far wider range in style than most of their peers; adorning hints of dance-pop, rock, trip-hop and
hell - "promise with him" almost reminds me of madonna's "don't tell me" with its country twang. definitely versatile!
if there's one thing that'll make or break this one, it's miki's vocals. she's got a particular whine that's either gonna totally resonate or annoy the everlasting shit out of you. personally, i kinda love her style
it's a shame this project only put out two other eps. alas it'll lay in obscurity until someone else stumbles into that arguably even more unknown anime
oh well. hopefully someone who sees this gets to enjoy it, at least
