never heard of cibo matto? if you've ever played jet set radio future, then you're likely more familiar than you think. this japanese duo wrote a particularly controversial song on that game's licensed soundtrack (one that whiny babies love complaining about, but i digress)
and hey, even if you're a birthday cake hater (shame on you), you can take comfort in the fact that no other cibo matto track sounds anything like it. in fact - almost nothing they produce ever sounds the same in general. you never really know what you're gonna get. and that's a good thing
some of the tracks on here could pass as adult swim bumps. others are straight-up doom metal, pop, alt rock - you fucking name it. think along the lines of the eccentricity and eclecticity of gorillaz and you'll end up close to the right track. maybe. regardless, these two are great and absolutely worth checking out
